I was walking into my apartment complex and found a strange looking cicada still alive.<\/p>\n<p>Black w\/ black eyes and a white belly. The thorax also has dark green markings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7-19-07<\/strong><br \/>\nI live in Gaffney, SC (upstate foothills) and have noticed about five (I know&#8230;not a worry) cicadas while walking my dogs. The dogs love to torture and eat them. I&#8217;m pretty sure they are the white-eyed kind as it seemed unusual to me. I didn&#8217;t think SC was due for cicadas yet! I&#8217;ll try to remember to take a picture on my next dog walk before the dogs eat them.
